Senior Manager/Supervisor
Fii-Central is seeking an experienced and strategic General Counsel to serve as the company’s chief legal advisor in California. This role will provide legal leadership across corporate governance, employment law, commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, litigation management, and cross-border matters in support of Fii-Central’s U.S. operations and its alignment with global Fii-Foxconn entities.

The General Counsel will partner closely with executive leadership, HR, Finance, Operations, and global legal teams to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support business growth in a fast-paced, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Governance & Compliance
  • Serve as primary legal advisor to executive leadership and, as applicable, the Board of Directors
  • Oversee corporate governance, entity management, and regulatory compliance for U.S. entities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, with a strong focus on California regulations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company policies, codes of conduct, and internal controls
Employment & Labor Law
  • Advise on U.S. and California employment laws, including wage and hour, employee classification, leaves of absence, benefits, terminations, reductions in force, and workplace investigations
  • Partner closely with HR on employee handbooks, policies, disciplinary actions, and risk mitigation
  • Support immigration-related matters in coordination with HR and outside counsel (H-1B, L-1, E-2, etc.)
Commercial & Contractual Matters
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, consulting, real estate, construction, NDAs, and strategic partnership agreements
  • Provide legal guidance on procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing-related contracts
  • Establish contract templates and approval processes to streamline operations
Litigation & Risk Management
  • Manage disputes, claims, and litigation, including coordination with outside counsel
  • Oversee responses to government inquiries, audits, and investigations
  • Lead risk assessment initiatives and advise leadership on mitigation strategies
Cross-Border & Strategic Support
  • Support cross-border transactions and intercompany matters involving global Fii-Foxconn entities
  • Advise on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and joint ventures as needed
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to support operational and strategic decisions

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
  • Active license and good standing with the California State Bar (required)
  • Minimum 1  years of progressive legal experience, with a combination of in-house and/or large law firm experience
  • Strong expertise in California employment law and U.S. corporate law
  • Experience supporting complex, multi-entity organizations and senior leadership teams
  • Proven ability to manage outside counsel and legal budgets
  • Prior experience as General Counsel, Deputy GC, or senior in-house legal leader
  • Experience in manufacturing, technology, AI, electronics, or multinational environments
  • Familiarity with cross-border legal matters and working with Asia-based headquarters
  • Experience supporting HR, operations, and finance teams in fast-moving organizations

Salary range: 170K – 250K
