Job Description:                                                                                                                     
Responsible for repairing L11/L10 system or L6 circuit boards level by identifying faulty parts and replacing with good parts. Also provides assistance to Engineering Department and production testing.
                                                            

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Using system configuration or board schematics, performs bench level troubleshooting of system level or circuit boards to the parts to determine cause and remedy malfunction
  • Performs required repairs by replacing faulty parts by soldering to return the system or circuit board to operational state. 
  • Sets up and tests the repaired system or circuit boards to meet specified requirements.
  • Recognizes failures and problems, isolates problems, and takes appropriate action to resolve those problems.
  • Operates oscilloscopes, multi meters, and test fixtures, and understand their use and function.
  • Operates hand tools and small power tools and understands their use and function.
  • Reports all unresolved and/or potential problems that would negatively affect project schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess problem solving skills, strong digital and analog skills.
  • Must be able to provide professional, clear verbal and written communication.
  • Must have experience using oscilloscopes, multi meters, hand tools, soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Must be able to exercises judgment within defined procedures and safety practices to determine appropriate action.
  • Generate failure analysis and problem reports.
  • Advanced training in electronic theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, military training, an Associate degree program, or years of on the job training.
  • Able to read PCB schematic.
  • Team player work orientated.
  • Willing and able to multitask, support other projects and businesses as needed.

Education and Experience:
  • An Associate’s degree or equivalent technical experience and/or military technical training. 
  • Prior electronic troubleshooting experience is required.
